“James Bond”-like worms discovered in the deep sea

The scientist of San Diego, California recently had discovered seven new species of worms. They found them in the Pacific Ocean in the depth of the Pacific Ocean of California. These worms are called swimming annelid worms. They live in 5,900 feet below the sea. The scientists of California gave at this worm a nickname Green bomber because he has his own way to defend himself. When a predator wants to attack him he releases a green glowing bomb. This helps him to escape from the enemy. This green glowing bomb affects the enemy making him blind for a moment so the worm has time to escape.
My opinion on this is that I think that this animal was lucky to have this ability to make animals blind. It explains a lot of what can do this worm and it makes me understand how much intelligent is this worm. I think he is smart. I know that there is another animal in the sea, a fish that is a ball. When a predator comes he puts out his thorns and the enemy runs away.

What is a living thing?

What I know:
A living thing is something that can breathe, like a plant, like human or an animal. It is something that can develop and grow like a tree, something that can die, something that can be born.

What I want to know:
I would like to know how can an animal survive in the water, how do they eat and how do they live in other places (not their habitat) and how can they adapt.

My second goal in science is to have good grades.

I will try to do all my assignments following the due dates and I will listen in class. If I don't understand something I will ask Mrs. M.
